The new price will come into effect from today, March 24. After the hike, PNG will cost Rs 35.86 per unit in Ghaziabad, according to messages sent to consumers. Revised Domestic PNG prices are as follows Delhi – Rs 36.61 Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad – Rs 35.86Karnal & Rewari – Rs 35.42Gurugram- Rs 34.81Muzaffarnagar, Meerut & Shamli – Rs 39.37Ajmer, Patil & Rajsamand – Rs 42.023Kanpur, Hamirpur & Fatehpur – Rs 38.50 On Tuesday, fuel retailers had hiked LPG prices by Rs 50 per cylinder, in line with a spike in international energy prices. In Delhi, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised LPG cylinder now costs Rs 949.50. This was the first increase in LPG rates since early October. Petrol and diesel rates have also gone up in the wake of a spike in global gas and oil prices. Fuel prices have been on a freeze for the past four months as five states including politically significant Uttar Pradesh went to the polls. This despite, rates swinging from USD 81.5 per barrel in early November to near USD 140 per barrel. Earlier on March 8, CNG prices in the national capital and adjoining cities were hiked by Rs 0.50 per kg. CNG price in NCT of Delhi has been increased to Rs 57.51 per kg from Rs 56.51. Following the firming up of international gas rates, IGL has been raising CNG rates by up to 50 paise (Rs 0.50) per kg periodically. Prices have gone up by about Rs 4 per kg this year alone.
