Anakapalle: Police seized 912 kgs of ganja being transported from Odisha to Andhra Pradesh in a lorry on Monday. Two individuals were apprehended during the operation, while five more arrests are pending, according to SP Deepika. The seized ganja is valued at Rs 45 lakhs.In similar incidents, Vijayawada police seized over 200 kgs of ganja, arrested 120 people, and registered 35 cases, DCP Harikrishna reported. The police have identified 150 locations where ganja consumption is prevalent and are closely monitoring suspicious areas. Awareness programs are also being conducted to address the issue.
