7 IFS officers from TG to visit Kenya

Hyderabad: The state government has granted permission to seven Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers to undertake a study tour in Kenya and Tanzania to gain insights into ecotourism practices and wildlife management strategies. According to the government order, the officers will visit the Kenya Wildlife Service from March 2 to 27. The approval is subject to obtaining political clearance from the ministry of external affairs (MEA) before departure. The Telangana Forest Development Corporation will bear the travel costs.The selected officers are: Dr G. Chandrashekar Reddy, principal secretary to the Chief Minister; Sunita M. Bhagwat, additional PCCF (administration); Shantaram, field director, Project Tiger; Dr Sunil S. Hiremath, director, zoo parks; Rajshekar Petia, divisional forest officer (DFO), Nalgonda; Rohit Gopidi, DFO, Nagarkurnool and L. Ranjeet Nayak, executive director, Eco-Tourism, Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGDFC). The TGDFC will bear the travel costs.
