Hyderabad: South Central Railway general manager Arun Kumar Jain stressed that safety, asset maintenance, quality works, and staff training were the major reasons for the zone’s success, and these facors ensured a safe, comfortable and affordable journey for passengers.Addressing the 69th Railway Week celebrations here on Friday, Jain stated that there should be no compromise in implementing safety standards.The General Manager’s best performance efficiency shield was jointly awarded to the Secunderabad and Vijayawada divisions. The awards were received by divisional railway managers Bhartesh Kumar Jain (Secunderabad) and A. Narendra Patil (Vijayawada).Thirty five zonal level efficiency shields were distributed, acknowledging the contributions of the Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada Guntakal, Guntur, and Nanded divisions.Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar were presented to 75 officers and staff.
