“Actually there were inputs on smuggling of drugs, certain ammunition and explosives but after a proper search we found RDX worth 5kgs, cash and other items dumped in the bag,” he claimed, adding that further investigations have been initiated by the authorities concerned.After registering a case in this context, the STF has detained several suspects for questioning, sources revealed.On Thursday the Police had recovered 2.5-kg RDX, a detonator, codex wire, five explosive fuses, 12 live cartridges of AK-47 assault rifle from Gurdaspur.Director General of Punjab Police (DGP) VK Bhawra on Thursday had said, “The recovery was made on the disclosure statement of accused Amandeep Kumar, alias Mantri of Lakhanpal village in Gurdaspur, who is the prime accused in the two recent incidents of grenade attacks in Pathankot.”
